The big turn off about a 3 Day-Detox diet is that they can be so extreme. I mean, who really wants to drink nothing but lemonade for 3 days, or 10…or 30. I’m not saying that there isn’t a place for fasting in our life. I have done short fasts several times. However, you can achieve natural body detox without using extreme diets.
The real purpose of this blog is to discuss ways to improve health and vitality that can be incorporated into your daily life. You don’t have to turn your lifestyle upside down and sell all your worldly possessions to feel and look better. If you take a little time to educate yourself and evaluate your current habits, you will find opportunities to improve your diet and fitness habits that really make a difference.
I am including a video in the post that I really like. In it, Dr. Vincent Bellzoni talks about “What is a Cleanse”. Dr. Bellzoni is a chiropractor and is Certified in Clinical Nutrition. He has been in practice for over 12 years. He does not use fasting or “master cleanse” type diets. In the video he talks about why cleansing is important and his approach that ensures good nutrition while cleansing.

What you said is true, but it is not the whole truth. If you fast for a period exceeding a couple of days for example your body shuts of your digestion system. This is good and you will find that you gain access to a lot of energy and you get less hungry with each passing day. There are countless examples of people going over 40 days with nothing but water. And some have gone without food for years. Of course you’d have to have some inclination towards studying the eastern paradigms of health to be aware of such information.
A cleanse and a fast are not the same. A cleanse, when done correctly, can actually speed up your metabolism where the body is working hard to eliminate toxins. After the toxins are forced out, your digestion/metabolism will work more efficiently. A fast does not shut down your digestion, but slows it down in order to conserve energy. It’s all good when done properly as cited on this website.

Unfortunately, I can’t help much with your page speed issue. Your lens is hosted on squidoo and you are limited by the resources they provide you on there servers. Generally speaking, they provide a really good service so people can create a lens that has good content and videos. I have a few lenses there as well and have always been pleased with them.
If you want more control and functionality over your content, you should consider your own domain and hosting. You can’t add plugins or addons to your current lens outside of what they provide…with your own domain you would have a lot of options.
